"Today, we celebrate World Blood Donor Day with the slogan "Give blood, give hope: together, we save lives". It is a day to thank those who generously donate their blood to save lives. Voluntary blood donation is an act of solidarity, altruism, and empathy. And it is also an opportunity to raise awareness of the need to improve equitable access to safe blood."
